Salt & Battery Comics

I’ve been doing a lot of good, old fashioned, hand-crafted work on this site in the past month. About half of that is going to waste since I’m now switching to ComicPress for handling the printing, processing, and presentation of all comics from here on out. Though I’m quite proud of myself for doing such a thorough job in optimizing my blog, scripts, and styles, there are just too many technical things that I would like to do for which I have neither the expertise to implement nor the time to learn how to program.

Some things which ComicPress should allow me to do include using the same RSS feed for comics as for blog posts, better tools for posting, sharing, and displaying strips, and of course the overarching benefit of having a single interface for the entire site. It won’t be as homemade as I usually like, but I’m coming to the point in life where I need to start focusing on producing artwork and leave the heavy stuff to other people. Granted, there will still be plenty to do around here in the next few days (and weeks) including a site redesign which should include some new color schemes, layout, and graphics. Sorry, but the background tree is going to go.
